The Philharmonic plan to build a new concert hall. Do you know its location?

Tonight the Wrocław Chamber Orchestra Leopoldinum under Michał Dworzyński will perform an outstandingly diverse programme showing the true beauty of the string orchestra sound. You will hear not only Puccini’s Crisantemi, but also Janáček’s Suite for strings, the stunning Romanian Dances by Bartók and Britten’s Simple Symphony. In addition to Shostakovich’s Two Pieces for Double String Quartet you will hear Copland’s Concerto for Clarinet, Piano and Strings.
The clarinet solo part will be player by Ludmila Peterková – a professor of clarinet at the Prague Conservatory. Being an extremely gifted and renown artist, Peterková is a Prague Spring Festival laureate and she also received the prestigious Harmonie award for her 2007 CD release with Rossini’s, Mendelssohn’s and Bruch’s compositions.
The host of the Cosmopolitan Music concert, Michał Dworzyński, collaborates with orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic and BBC Symphony. We look forward to seeing you!
